Freeriding & ski touring around Kaunertal

With our beginner ski tours you will learn the correct handling of the equipment and the different walking techniques. You will be impressed by what awaits you off the piste.

There is also the possibility for ascents far from the ski area and downhill runs, in the ski area (suitable for average skiers).

Program

Tours from 2 hours to 4 hours bookable!

e. g. 2-hour tour (Fendels 4a)
Ascent from Fendels to Sattelklause away from the slopes (about 2 hours ascent with subsequent descent on the slopes) or to the Fendler Alm (ascent 2.5 hours).

e. g. 3-hour tour "Weißseejöchl"
Ascent approx. 2 hours, descent in the off-piste territory

• The Kaunertal Glacier Area offers great tours. Exploring the mountains around the Gepatschferner with our guides is fun and on the first day we offer you a relaxed ski tour tailored to your abilities.
• Especially with ski tours over ridges or glaciers our guide will bring you safely to your destination. Climbing harnesses for ridge and glacier crossings can be hired from us.
• In good conditions steep ridges or peaks can be climbed with unique undisguised descents. Without a guide you will not find these spots. Just try it and book a day ...

Basic requirement: Good skiing skills in the off-piste territory and handling of emergency equipment. Tour planning depends on weather and snow conditions.

Learn and bring your technique in the deep snow to perfection and enjoy untracked slopes on absolute insider spots.

Program

Day 1 – Basic skills
Technique training for deep snow beginners as well as experienced off-piste skiers. Includes equipment control, introduction to snow and avalanche awareness and avalanche victim search training.

Day 2 – Freeride
If desired dreamlike powder snow descents can be combined with short ascents.

Day 3 – Langtauferer Tal
In a daring departure, the Austrian state border is crossed. This extraordinary ski route takes us to the picturesque Langtauferer Tal in South Tyrol / Italy.
